- "Jerkhead!" (This we heard once....and never since!)
- "I don't want to be your friend anymore."
- "I'm not talking to you!"
- "YOU'RE MEAN!" (while sobbing uncontrollably on a time-out)
- "I'm putting YOU on a time out!"
- "You're giving me a headache!" (I SWEAR...neither Nate nor I have EVER said this!"
- (Big breath in through the nose) "All I smell is bugers!"
- "Why does that boy talk like a girl?" (Said loudly in front of a young man with an unfortunately high pitched voice.)
There are probably a million more that I can't think of right now. I am convinced that some of these are things he has learned from Preschool....especially the "Jerkhead" one....he told me his friend taught him that! Do you recognize any of these from your childrens' mouths?
***Update-I was feeling sort of bad after I posted these recent phrases from Benjamin. I do find them amusing (you should have seen me trying to stiffle a laugh when I heard them!) but they don't exactly paint an accurate picture of Benjamin. I was reminded of this recently when, while shopping at Target, Benjamin leaned over to give me a hug and said SO sweetly "Mommy...I love your heart!" He also followed it up with "And I love your big brain!" I swear...I didn't coach him to say that....he's just very intuitive! But these are the kinds of phrases that are more commonplace in my house. Although Benjamin has his moments...he is really a very sweet boy!
